The Law of Giving and Receiving

Daily Grace - Live a Grateful Life - Teacup & Saucer

1. Wherever I go, and whoever I encounter, I will bring them a gift. The gift may be a compliment, a flower, or a prayer. Today, I will give something to everyone I come into contact with, and so I will begin the process of circulating joy, wealth and affluence in my life and in the lives of others.

2. Today I will gratefully receive all the gifts that life has to offer me. I will receive the gifts of nature: sunlight and the sound of birds singing, or spring showers or the first snow of winter. I will also be open to receiving from others, whether it be in the form of a material gift, money, a compliment or a prayer.

3. I will make a commitment to keep wealth circulating in my life by giving and receiving life’s most precious gifts: the gifts of caring, affection, appreciation and love. Each time I meet someone, I will silently wish them happiness, joy and laughter.

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS

Perfect in Love

Really Woolly - Little Book of Bible Verses

 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’  But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect”. Matthew 5:43-48

Malachi 3

As I read parts of Malachi today, I pray for all victims of the abuses of this world. I pray that God will intervene in their lives and set them free from the bondage that holds them in brokenness and bring total healing and restoration for all. Lord, pour out Your blessings upon them… in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

 Malachi 3: 3-5

He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver;
He will purify the sons of Levi,
And purge them as gold and silver,
That they may offer to the Lord
An offering in righteousness. Continue reading “Malachi 3”

“Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation”. Habakkuk 3:17,18

Life is never a straight horizontal line from birth to death; its path is filled with twist and turns, challenges, and events that rock the very foundation of our belief system. Each morning we turn our Television or we browse the Internet, we get often bombarded with news of wars, negative economic predictions, violence, terrorism, and outbreak of new epidemic. The question that looms the heart of most Christians is “How do I stay happy in an unhappy world?”
