“Where the Spirit of the Lord is…”

This is from one of my favorite songs, “Freedom Reigns” by Jason Upton.

“Where the Spirit of the Lord is….”
“There is Freedom!”  is the phrase.
“Jesus reigns in this place!”
and I give Him all my praise!
For I was so devastated…
and He covered me with mercy and grace.
I was so broken…
then He rescued me from abusers in my face.
He protected me…
when I could not protect myself.
He provided for me…
when I was again broken on a shelf.
He spoke to me…
when I was in hopeless despair.
He gave me “bread crumbs”…
to follow Him through a world not fair.
