Proverbs 2:1-15

1 My son, if you accept my words
and store up my commands within you,
2 turning your ear to wisdom
and applying your heart to understanding—
3 indeed, if you call out for insight
and cry aloud for understanding,
4 and if you look for it as for silver
and search for it as for hidden treasure,
5 then you will understand the fear of the Lord
and find the knowledge of God.
6 For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
7 He holds success in store for the upright,
he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,
8 for he guards the course of the just
and protects the way of his faithful ones.
9 Then you will understand what is right and just
and fair—every good path.
10 For wisdom will enter your heart,
and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.
11 Discretion will protect you,
and understanding will guard you.
12 Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men,
from men whose words are perverse,
13 who have left the straight paths
to walk in dark ways,
14 who delight in doing wrong
and rejoice in the perverseness of evil,
15 whose paths are crooked
and who are devious in their ways.

No matter what, one should ensure He/She makes Heaven……

Heaven is a beautiful and intriguing place one must ensure not to miss. So many questions to ask God when I get there. I would really love to know the mystery behind the Trinity. God performing the duties of a Father,Son and a Teacher…Wow!!!

Heaven! Heaven! Heaven!… Gonna be a non-stop fellowship with God, 24hours a day, 7 days a week.

After reading about great men and women of God in the Bible, you still want to miss Heaven?… Hey, think again…

I’ve got so many things to do up there, I don‘t know about you.

* I will Hug papa Abraham and mama Sarah for their Faith,
* Isaac and Rebecca for ensuring their marriage worked though it was Love at first sight.
* I will commend Jacob and Racheal for their True love tale and also Sir Joseph for his determination even with the fierce opposition.
* I will embrace Daniel for his Intelligence. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego for their bravery.
* I will Tuale (salute) for David for his courage as a boy and as a king after God’s heart.
* I will kiss John the beloved and even Peter, while clinging to Paul… For their courage in taking the gospel far.
* I will salute Rehab, Esther, Ruth, Deborah and Hannah…the powerful Heroines (few names among others).

KEY POINT: Why don’t you live for Christ and become a Hero/Heroine so that your name will be included in the “BOOK OF HEROES”…Think on these and forever remain Blessed.

Anne Lamott is the author of “Traveling Mercies,” “Grace, Eventually,” and “Plan B.” All of these contain her thoughts on faith.  She and Sara Miles are two of my favorite Christian authors.  They both get into the trenches of faith and don’t pull any punches about how hard it is to live this life. WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS

Psalm 90

Psalm 90

1 My Lord, you have been our home forever and ever.
2 You were God before the mountains were born,
before the earth and the world were made.
You have always been and will always be God!
3 You bring people into this world,
and you change them into dust again.
4 To you, a thousand years is like yesterday,
like a few hours in the night.
5 Our life is like a dream that ends when morning comes.
We are like grass
6 that grows and looks so fresh in the morning,
but in the evening it is dry and dying.
7 Your anger could destroy us.
Your anger frightens us!
8 You know about all our sins.
You see every one of our secret sins.
9 Your anger can end our life.
Our lives fade away like a whisper.
10 We live about 70 years
or, if we are strong, 80 years.
But most of them are filled with hard work and pain.
Then, suddenly, the years are gone, and we fly away.
11 No one really knows the full power of your anger,
but our fear and respect for you is as great as your anger.
12 Teach us how short our lives are
so that we can become wise.
13 Lord, come back to us.
Be kind to your servants.
14 Fill us with your love every morning.
Let us be happy and enjoy our lives.
15 For years you have made life hard for us and have given us many troubles.
Now make us happy for just as long.
16 Let your servants see the wonderful things you can do for them.
And let their children see your glory.
17 Lord, our God, be kind to us.
Make everything we do successful.
Yes, make it all successful.
