The Blanket of Sweet Love

unnamed

Author: Liana Wendy Howarth

You’ve knitted me together
So very beautifully
Embroidered me with peace and joy
And signed Your Name as Love

Chorus
Words cannot give
What You have given me
The wonders of the sunset
The treasures of the sea
Soft colours of the morning
Bright colours of the eve
All interwoven from above
The blanket of sweet love

You’ve sewn so many pictures
Of laughter, trials and pain
Some scenes are surrounded with gold
Others are barely seen

Chorus
Words cannot give
What You have given me
The wonders of the sunset
The treasures of the sea
Soft colours of the morning
Bright colours of the eve
All interwoven from above
The blanket of sweet love

You’ve sewn a time for singing
You’ve sewn a time for life’s storms
And yet they make me what I am
A masterpiece of Thy Son

Bridge
I am His
And He is mine
I’m woven with the threads of time
Bound with love that cannot break
Bound with glory for eternity’s sake

Chorus
Words cannot give
What You have given me
The wonders of the sunset
The treasures of the sea
Soft colours of the morning
Bright colours of the eve
All interwoven from above
The blanket of sweet love
