Breakfast with God

Do you feel happy and energetic when you wake up in the morning?

Do you feel excited when thinking of your new day no matter how big your tasks can be? If not, this message is for you!

Here are some quick tips how to gain excitement first thing in the morning.

 1. Being thankful

As you wake up, start your day with listing 5 things you are thankful for, and then add 5 more, and more… The air we breathe, the water we drink, the laundry we need to do, and the work we go to. As you start your day, remind yourself of all the goodness and blessing you have in your life… and do it first thing in the morning.

 2. Worshiping Him

Having a morning prayer is a great way to start your day. You’ll feel empowered and protected when doing so. Many people say that they don’t know how to pray, and that’s why they feel awkward to talk to God. Well, there is no secret to prayer- Just talk to your Father, like your best friend. No need to say what you don’t feel… just be honest and open to Him. He knows already what’s on your mind, so don’t be shy to ask Him for support. He is waiting to hear from you. Just do it!

What’s great about prayer is that you can be completely honest with Him and tell him whatever you want… He will never judge you. Being afraid of rejection and misunderstanding, we might not feel comfortable to open our deepest secrets and deepest thoughts with people around us, but it feels so natural when you do that with God.  Prayer itself is a very powerful tool that we have. It’s an actual interaction with God that gives us peace, comfort and hope.

Worship music can be another alternative for you. When you get a chance, turn on the radio or go to youtube.com/pandora and find worship music. There is such a big collection of Christian singers that you might find amazing… just start with Chris Tomlin, Hillsong, Paul Baloche and others and see how it goes.

  3. Reflecting on His promises

Listen to God’s promises to you. As you go through your day, meditate on His word. You can highlight your favorite verses in the Bible, write them down in your notebook, take a picture of them on your phone, and go through them… one by one. Know them by heart. If you don’t have a Bible with you, go on-line (http://www.biblegateway.com).

It’s important to get in a habit of reading His word.  If you don’t have time to read your Bible, a simple verse will be as powerful and helpful.

Remember, it’s not about religion; it’s about your personal relationship with Him. It’s about feeling His presence and staying equipped and empowered by His love and promises.

As Lisa Terkeurst says “We can’t control the things that happen to us each day, but we can control how we think about them”. We can fix our minds on God, by being on His side and by trusting Him that no matter what can come our way, God has it all.

Whatever works for you, do it. As we consume food and water daily, we need spiritual food as well. Spending time with God will change your life forever. You will feel protected, supported, understood, and loved.

Morning Prayer:

“This is the day that the Lord has made,  I’ll rejoice and be glad in it. Thank you Lord for waking me up this morning, I’m so grateful to have another day of my life, where I can be productive. Please give me energy and strength to have a positive today and bring good fruits at the end of it. In Jesus name, Amen.”

“My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ,  in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”

 Colossians 2:2-3

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

Galatians 5:22-23

May you feel empowered and equipped. May each day of yours be full of happiness and peace.

Please share with me how you start your day and what helps you stay positive and empowered.

Make God Your Best Friend

My dear friend,

I want to see you to succeed and live to your fullest potential with no barriers and limitations. I want you to know that there is absolutely nothing that you can’t achieve… Much of it depends on our thinking, the way we approach things, and, of course, our Faith.

If I didn’t believe in God, I would never end up living in America. When I came to US, I had nothing and I knew nobody. I just had $200 and a piece of paper with the address of my work place. That was it! I had to put my complete trust in the Lord and know that no matter how my journey would go, He would be with me. If I didn’t have faith, I wouldn’t live the life I live now.

I want to remind you today that God is always, always, ALWAYS with you. Reading the Bible and learning God’s word is the preparation for your real relationship with Him. No matter how many devotionals you read and how many sermons you listen to, if you don’t spend your own time with Him, you’ll never know Him. If you heard many good things about someone but never talked to him in person, you would never know his true face. Do you agree?

It’s the same about God, what I share with you about Him, might not be the way you see Him, and what you have  to say about God, might not be the exact way I know Him. He opens up to everyone in His own unique way.

It’s all about YOUR personal relationship with HIM. It’s not about religion, it’s about your true friendship with your Creator.

If you haven’t got a chance to build your relationship with God yet, please ask Him to be your friend today, and keep your heart and mind open when you do so.

And read your Bible… every verse…and try to understand the way God sees you. You will find so much wisdom and so much truth there. I promise you. What’s amazing is that it never gets old, but vice versa, the older we get the more wisdom we find there. it is relevant to any age and any generation.

You are SO special and precious in God’s eyes!

 He loves you…

Ways of Worshiping God

For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

1 Corinthians 13:12

My Mom has been a Christian for as long as I know her. We’ve been praying together every day as I was growing, we were going to the church and also a small Bible study group every week. Our faith in the Lord was giving us hope and strength. I would never ever end up living here If I didn’t believe in God and in His promises to me.

As I was growing, I was taught to think certain things about my religion and I could never question anything. I was told how exactly God is and what He does…

So I thought I knew it all.

One day I was told about the analogy of a shoe and I saw some wisdom in it.

If a man stepped on the ants and if the sole of the shoe had different colors on it, the ants would see the man based on the color of the sole they would be in. One ant would say “The man is blue’, the other would say “No, he is yellow”, the third would say “He is white”, and I thought that analogy applied so much to my faith.

We all see God the way we see ourselves. The truth is He is so much bigger than we can ever comprehend.

When I went to Orthodox Church in Russia, people were mourning there over the death of Christ. In the middle of the church there was a picture of God with His frowning face. He looked angry. People were not allowed to go to the church with their make up on, they had to cover their head and keep icons in their homes at all times. That’s was their only way of worshiping God.

Now, when I go to the Baptist church here in US, everyone rejoices over Christ’s resurrection and our eternal life. People are dancing and singing. They are happy. That’s the way their see the Lord and their religion.

And then I though about other religions and the way they see God and I realized they are also different. Whether you go to the North, to the South, to West or the East of the World you will experience many ways of worshiping God and giving Him glory. You’ll see different traditions, holidays and rituals.

So, I learned that not only different churches of the same religion, but different countries and cultures have their own way of seeing the Lord.

The ability to compare different cultures taught me not to judge other religions, but respect them. I’m honored to follow Jesus and I love Him with all my heart, but I do realize how insignificant we are, how huge the world is, how many billions of people live on the Earth and how many ways of seeing God exist!

I don’t think we should be afraid of questioning things and reflecting on that. I believe we can know the truth and even get closer to Him by willing to learn more and accept the fact that we don’t know much.

I do know though that He is real and He does love us all no matter what origins we have!

I believe that God respects all our efforts to connect with Him.

He loves us.

We are His.

Building Your History

The most important lesson we need learn in this life is how to love, like God does. No matter how good or bad we are, God loves us all unconditionally. And we have to do the same towards others.

Every day that you live is going to be a part of your history! Every yesterday and the day before, every passed week and a passed year will never be back.

They are gone forever!

Every thing that you do and every thought that you think builds your history!

Think about your outcomes for a minute… Are you proud of your past?

Whatever you might feel today, good news is that every day gives you a new chance! Every day God renews His blessings and gives us hope. Every day you get a new start and it’s up to you to choose the plot of your life story!

Make a decision today to do something good every single day!

It might be a kind word, good deed or anything else that can benefit others. And as you do that, have no judgment, but pure LOVE.

There are so many ways to help. You don’t have to do much if you can’t. Just be creative and spread the goodness.

May every step of yours build strong and solid foundation for your history.
