Your Beauty & Worth

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

Romans 12:2 AMP

I think many of us tend to compare ourselves with others and try to fit into the society, by wanting certain looks, certain image and style. We gaze into a mirror to see how we look. We evaluate what we see and make changes based on that.

It’s tough to enjoy life when you don’t accept yourself the way you are. People who haven’t learned to accept and get along with themselves tend to have more difficulty accepting and getting along with others. Why is it so?

As the Bible says “A good tree will bear good fruit, and a rotten tree will bear rotten fruit.”  If we are rooted in shame, rejection, lack of love and acceptance, etc., the fruit of our relationships will suffer as well. That’s why it’s important to accept God’s unconditional love for us, and begin to accept ourselves and others. As Joyce Meyer says “The “fruit” of our lives comes from the “root” within us.”

If we strive to conform to the standards set by the world around us, and measure our successes and failures by those standards, most of the time we’ll feel frustrated and discouraged.

If we base our self-image on our expectations of ourselves, then we can easily experience sense of failure when we don’t meet those expectations. We can become too hard and too critical with ourselves, and feel not worthy or not good enough.

That’s why, as it is said in the Ministry of LivingFree.org, ” The healthy way to see ourselves is the way God sees us.” He loves us and He gave us everything we need to live a full life. We are handpicked and loved by Him. He created us in His own image and He sees our value.

God sees a deeper beauty and worth in us than what anyone else can see, even more than we see in the mirror every day.

Do not fall victim to believe any less about yourself.

Breakfast with God

Do you feel happy and energetic when you wake up in the morning?

Do you feel excited when thinking of your new day no matter how big your tasks can be? If not, this message is for you!

Here are some quick tips how to gain excitement first thing in the morning.

 1. Being thankful

As you wake up, start your day with listing 5 things you are thankful for, and then add 5 more, and more… The air we breathe, the water we drink, the laundry we need to do, and the work we go to. As you start your day, remind yourself of all the goodness and blessing you have in your life… and do it first thing in the morning.

 2. Worshiping Him

Having a morning prayer is a great way to start your day. You’ll feel empowered and protected when doing so. Many people say that they don’t know how to pray, and that’s why they feel awkward to talk to God. Well, there is no secret to prayer- Just talk to your Father, like your best friend. No need to say what you don’t feel… just be honest and open to Him. He knows already what’s on your mind, so don’t be shy to ask Him for support. He is waiting to hear from you. Just do it!

What’s great about prayer is that you can be completely honest with Him and tell him whatever you want… He will never judge you. Being afraid of rejection and misunderstanding, we might not feel comfortable to open our deepest secrets and deepest thoughts with people around us, but it feels so natural when you do that with God.  Prayer itself is a very powerful tool that we have. It’s an actual interaction with God that gives us peace, comfort and hope.

Worship music can be another alternative for you. When you get a chance, turn on the radio or go to youtube.com/pandora and find worship music. There is such a big collection of Christian singers that you might find amazing… just start with Chris Tomlin, Hillsong, Paul Baloche and others and see how it goes.

  3. Reflecting on His promises

Listen to God’s promises to you. As you go through your day, meditate on His word. You can highlight your favorite verses in the Bible, write them down in your notebook, take a picture of them on your phone, and go through them… one by one. Know them by heart. If you don’t have a Bible with you, go on-line (http://www.biblegateway.com).

It’s important to get in a habit of reading His word.  If you don’t have time to read your Bible, a simple verse will be as powerful and helpful.

Remember, it’s not about religion; it’s about your personal relationship with Him. It’s about feeling His presence and staying equipped and empowered by His love and promises.

As Lisa Terkeurst says “We can’t control the things that happen to us each day, but we can control how we think about them”. We can fix our minds on God, by being on His side and by trusting Him that no matter what can come our way, God has it all.

Whatever works for you, do it. As we consume food and water daily, we need spiritual food as well. Spending time with God will change your life forever. You will feel protected, supported, understood, and loved.

Morning Prayer:

“This is the day that the Lord has made,  I’ll rejoice and be glad in it. Thank you Lord for waking me up this morning, I’m so grateful to have another day of my life, where I can be productive. Please give me energy and strength to have a positive today and bring good fruits at the end of it. In Jesus name, Amen.”

“My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ,  in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”

 Colossians 2:2-3

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

Galatians 5:22-23

May you feel empowered and equipped. May each day of yours be full of happiness and peace.

Please share with me how you start your day and what helps you stay positive and empowered.

Make God Your Best Friend

My dear friend,

I want to see you to succeed and live to your fullest potential with no barriers and limitations. I want you to know that there is absolutely nothing that you can’t achieve… Much of it depends on our thinking, the way we approach things, and, of course, our Faith.

If I didn’t believe in God, I would never end up living in America. When I came to US, I had nothing and I knew nobody. I just had $200 and a piece of paper with the address of my work place. That was it! I had to put my complete trust in the Lord and know that no matter how my journey would go, He would be with me. If I didn’t have faith, I wouldn’t live the life I live now.

I want to remind you today that God is always, always, ALWAYS with you. Reading the Bible and learning God’s word is the preparation for your real relationship with Him. No matter how many devotionals you read and how many sermons you listen to, if you don’t spend your own time with Him, you’ll never know Him. If you heard many good things about someone but never talked to him in person, you would never know his true face. Do you agree?

It’s the same about God, what I share with you about Him, might not be the way you see Him, and what you have  to say about God, might not be the exact way I know Him. He opens up to everyone in His own unique way.

It’s all about YOUR personal relationship with HIM. It’s not about religion, it’s about your true friendship with your Creator.

If you haven’t got a chance to build your relationship with God yet, please ask Him to be your friend today, and keep your heart and mind open when you do so.

And read your Bible… every verse…and try to understand the way God sees you. You will find so much wisdom and so much truth there. I promise you. What’s amazing is that it never gets old, but vice versa, the older we get the more wisdom we find there. it is relevant to any age and any generation.

You are SO special and precious in God’s eyes!

 He loves you…
