I love the story of Peter walking on water.  Sure, we remember Jesus walked on water, but so did Peter.  This means that the miraculous is available to all of us, if we have our focus right.

Let’s look at it.   It is Matthew 14:22-33.  The story starts after Jesus has fed 5,000 people with just five loaves of bread and two fish. Continue reading “Walking Towards Jesus”

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS

Merciful and Loving…

Luke 6, 27-36

27 “But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. 29 To one who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also, and from one who takes away your cloak do not withhold your tunic[b] either. 30 Give to everyone who begs from you, and from one who takes away your goods do not demand them back. 31 And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.

32 “If you love those who love you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to get back the same amount. 35 But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil. 36 Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful.

What Candy Will You Choose?

4673834501_210d98d4c3_o

I love this story of a Dad and a son in the store. A son saw a candy and kept asking Daddy to buy it for him. If the father knew that the candy his son was asking for was actually bad for him, do you think he would still buy it or would he choose something else instead? If he was a loving father who cared about his son’s health, would he listen to his little boy who didn’t necessarily have good judgement and buy the candy anyway or would he do the right thing for his son that would not hurt him at the end?

In life, we have many doors to open and many paths to choose from. We don’t know what choice will actually be the right one for us. That’s what makes life so interesting and unpredictable and God SO REAL! Being impatient, we can rush things and make wrong decisions that can harm us at the end. When we rely on God, we trust Him to choose the right path for us because He knows what’s best for us.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.

True Love and Loyalty

x_VIZJwEiVA

Guys, I read a heart breaking story today, and I wanted to share it with you as it truly shows what unconditional love and loyalty is (Based on a true story):

A neighbor decided to sink his dog. He was old, nearly deaf and could hardly walk. He dropped his dog off the boat, but the dog swam right to him. When he hit his dog with the paddle, he fell in the water by accident and started sinking himself.

Covered in blood, the dog swam to his master, grabbed him by the hand and brought him to the shore, saving his life.
