FIELD OF DAISIES

Lying midst a field of daisies
My eyes look up, I feel the peace
And even though all round is turmoil
These sweet flowers cause the pain to cease

Because each sweet, little petal
Reminds me of Your golden heart
Surrounded by heavenly pureness
Of which my new life is now a part

Chorus
Oh! I look up
I look up
To skies of bluest joy
I look up
I look up
The grey clouds are no more

And as my troubles float away
The Lord, He then whispers to me
My child, don’t look to things that leave you
Keep your eyes open, lifted to Me

Oh! In the field of sweetest love
Where daisies bloom and sunshine smiles
Peace, love and joy will fill a heart full
Whilst heart to heart ever reconciles

Bridge
But daisy chains of childhood dreams
Don’t always show life as it seems
Sometimes days hidden by dark moonbeams
And sometimes nights lit by light sunbeams

It used to be, he loves me
He loves me not
But now I know He loves me
He loves me
No matter what (again)

It used to be, he loves me
He loves me not
But now I know He loves me
He loves me
No matter what

Chorus
Oh! I look up
I look up
To skies of bluest joy
I look up
I look up
The grey clouds are no more
