“And now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in You.” Psalm 39:7 (NKJV)
Absolute and genuine hope is found only in Christ Jesus. He is never far way and always within our reach. It is only upon our discovery of Christ that we recognize the desperate condition of our soul, and through glorious and supernatural revelation comprehend it was this living Hope who graciously discovered and delivered us.
Upon discovering the wretchedness of our spiritual condition we could easily fall prey to the snares of the enemy. The devil always tries to discourage the children of God with lies. He causes believers to doubt God’s forgiveness. The truth is that no sin is beyond the incalculable grace of God. In His love our spirits must find their rest. In Christ alone we have indubitable hope.
I lift this reader up to you with much care and concern, asking that You renew his/her hope. I request that any lies the enemy has set as snare to cause doubt, especially of his/her forgiveness of sins, be demolished in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Rock, our Savior, is a sure foundation and one worthy of trust. May she/he find renewed strength today in the knowledge that Your saving grace covers a multitude of sins and that salvations is his/hers thanks to the blood You willingly shed at Calvary. Cause the hope found in this unmistakable gift ring true in his/her heart today. May it be claimed and possessed through the glorious power of your holy name, Jesus. Amen.
